Hipposonic is a recording studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Originally founded in 1989 by Robert Darch. The studio moved from their Kitsilano neighbourhood original location in January 2004 to the Old Mushroom Studio building at 1234 West 6th, Vancouver under the guidance of world-renowned studio designer John Vrtacic. In January 2017 Hipposonic was happy to join the Fadermountian family at 201 West 7th Ave, Vancouver; Former site of the world famous Little Mountain Sound Studios. The studio houses a Solid State Logic 4000G+ Series console. Over the years Hipposonic has had a wide variety of clients, Canadian and international, including Colin Linden, Tom Cochrane, Bif Naked, Delerium, Jessie Farrell, BTO, Econoline Crush, Skinny Puppy, K-Os, Kinnie Starr, Selena Gomez, KISS, Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, James Brown, Wu-Tang Clan, Gob, Hot Hot Heat, Chris Issak, Strapping Young Lad, Boom Desjardins, Marianas Trench, Daniel Wesley, Incura, Hedley, Louis Burns, The Latency, 22Century , 5440, Jakalope, Hey Ocean, Mother Mother and many more.
