Eileen Rothe

Eileen Rothe is a rocker with a poetic soul. Her classical training has led her to a powerful, piano-driven style that suits her soulful, edgy voice. Her debut EP "Dream Girl" (Hipposonic Records) was released in December 2006 and has the magical touch of producer Jeff Dawson (John Wozniak, Holly McNarland, Daniel Powter) and mixer Mike Fraser (Aerosmith, AC/DC, Rush). Over the past couple of years, Eileen has also been fortunate to work with vocal coach Judith Rabinovich (known for her work with Sarah McLachlan).

Eileen has adopted a personal mantra to "walk it like you rock it" and that is exactly what this girl is doing. The EP has wide appeal; the songs have received rave reviews on, being awarded with both "Track of the Day" and "Track of the Week," and continue to climb the charts, get picked up by int'l podcasts, and generate new fans worldwide. They have also recently been added to 4 stations on Yahoo! Music Canada's Launchcast Radio.

Eileen had the privilege of performing at New Music West (the largest new music festival on the West Coast) this past spring, where she drew the attention of many industry contacts. She is currently securing a sprig tour, a drive across Canada that will take her from Vancouver to Ottawa, and is working on new material with hopes for a full album release in 2008.

Being someone who believes in practicing what you preach, Eileen's putting herself out there this year. She's talented and determined, so watch out!
